Schenkweg 14 Mrt. Geachte Heer de Zwart, Verl. Maandag heb ik aan Giesenberg betaald niet alleen de dien datum verschuldigde f _ 4.60 doch bovendien nog f _ 10.– Ingevolge van ’t in mijn schrijven van ll. maand behandelde, met betrekking tot het zolderkamertje.– Ik mag nu wel op Uwe welwillendheid ten opzigte van het doelmatig inrigten daarvan rekenen, niet waar.– ’t Overigens aan U overlatende natuurlijkerwijs hoe U het maken wilt.– Na groete / met achting Uw dr. Vincent van Gogh. Schenkweg 14 March. Dear Mr de Zwart , Last Monday I paid Giesenberg not only the 4.60 guilders due that day but also a further 10 guilders. In accordance with the matter dealt with in my letter of last month with regard to the attic room. May I now count on your kind consideration in respect of fitting it up efficiently? Otherwise leaving it to you, naturally, to decide how you want to do it. I respectfully remain, Your servant Vincent van Gogh. Van Gogh had agreed that in future he would pay the rent in three instalments spread over the month ( see letter 320 ). The person meant is Willem Kiesenberg . Earlier there was talk of 4.50 guilders; see letter 320 . On this request for the attic room to be modified, see letter 320 .
